If the fish you are targetting are feeding on silkweed, this may be the pattern for you.
This is primarily a pattern intended for Roach, but will attract other weed eating species including Grass Carp.
Hooking a Grass Carp on the light tackle I use for my little river fly-fishing can be a bit of a nightmare, so I tend to tie this smallish – 14s and 16s – but, of course, this doesn’t guarantee that the bigger species will leave it alone.
The fly is tied simply with olive coloured 75d thread. The body is dubbed with rabbit fur in a mixture of 3 different shades of green topped off with some green marabou.
